Great Mexican food and great service. I started off with a small creamy queso for their crispy chips. Also got the beer battered shrimp, which was crispy, huge, and delicious. Ordered the El Pastor tacos. Great flavor and the pineapple really added some sweetness. Love that they make their own tortillas too. The rice and beans are great...but probably could use more on my plate. Lol Had the Tres Leches for dessert...yum! I will be back with friends and family.

Service was impeccable with attentive staff that didn’t intrude as well as some of the best queso in town. I highly recommend the mojito from the bar. The cups are very cute with a great outdoor patio adding a fun atmosphere to the experience. The food was extremely good at a very affordable price point for the the quality of food. Seriously the best quesadilla in town. We really enjoyed ourselves

After driving for several hours, I observed an establishment alongside the road and decided to stop. I sampled the Trio Fajitas, which included beef, chicken, and shrimp, served with rice, beans, sour cream, and tortillas. While I would have preferred handmade corn tortillas, the flour tortillas were satisfactory. I will consider returning if my travels bring me back to US 281.

Let me start by saying—I am very picky about my Mexican food. If I can make it at home, then I expect even better from the pros. That said, this meal was phenomenal. The drinks were spot on, but the real selling point? THE SALSA. I’m not kidding—I will take a restaurant off my list entirely if the salsa doesn’t deliver. But this one? Absolute perfection. Every dish was cooked beautifully, and our dinner was so good, it was practically silent at the table. I’ve lived in Lampasas for six years, and honestly, I’m a little disappointed in myself for not trying El Frias sooner. We’ll definitely be back.

A great place for lunch. Went with Taco salads, BLACK refried beans done right. Guacamole was too spicy for me, but esposa loved it. The best churros for dessert I have had that I can recall. Drinks (ice tea, soda) were only thing a bit pricy.

Best Mexican food in lampasas! The cocktails are cold and delicious! I had the hatch green chili burrito and it was filled with chunks of perfectly seasoned chicken moist and so tasty! Everything we ate was prepared fresh and served hot! Customer service was fast and friendly! A must go when in lampasas Tx

Great food. Black beans were delicious. I would recommend blanco enchiladas with green sauce. House salsa was very good and a little spicy. Top shelf margarita is worth the extra few bucks over the classic. Credit card fee is only 3.5% and very clearly listed on the menu. I'd eat here again.
